On October 5, 2005 the Ramada Historic, located in St Augustine, FL, came under new ownership/management. The mission of this progressive new team is to make visiting St. Augustine a fun, memorable, and comfortable experience for your group and as easy on you, the Tour Leader, as possible.

Our team has been in the hospitality and travel business for many years and we know what it takes to arrange a successful tour.

By offering extended services beyond just room accommodations, our ultimate goal is to become the leading Tour Group motel in the St. Augustine area.

Our Full Service Facility Offers
2 double beds or 1 king bed in each of our 100 rooms. While some smoking
rooms are available the majority of our rooms are non-smoking. Our restaurant,
The Palms Grill, invites you to enjoy a hearty, “home cooked” breakfast, linch
or dinner. (Tour groups are generally served a breakfast buffet) Our Prime Rib
is fast becoming a dinner favorite. The bar is open from early afternoon til late evening.

Other amenities includes; a large pool with heated spa, pool side Tiki bar (open weekends) and guest laundry.

Baggage handling is available for check-in and check-out. Please let us know in advance.

Easy Access and Plenty of Bus Parking

Ramada Historic is easy to find and get to from Interstate 95. Just take exit 318 and go east on Hwy 16. At the very end of hwy 16 make a right and go south for approximately 2 miles. We are on the right hand side.

We have plenty of free parking for buses and cars. Safe unloading zone with easy access to motel elevator.

Minor things may sometime seem unimportant but not for us. We
think about things such as welcome receptions for your group and night lights in the rooms. Never hesitate to ask us if your group has certain needs. We will do our best to help.

New Beds and Room Amenities

In addition to the hard case furniture that we have replaced, we are now installing brand new beds in all the rooms. (Serta Concierge Emerald
Plush Beds). Further, to comply with the new Ramada standards, we are also replacing and upgrading bedspreads, bed linens, bathroom terry, showerheads, shower rods (curved) and shower curtains.

1. The Limelight Theater

The theater is less than 100 feet from our motel. The theater is a performing art center offering professional quality theatrical production programs on a year round basis. The theater seats approximately 120 persons. View their program   on their web site www.limelight-theatre.org.

2. The Story Telling “Dead Sheriff”

Masterfully recreates St. Augustine’s colorful past through his stories. No one conveys the incredible history about the town as the Dead Sheriff. He will give a 40 minute performance while you are eating dinner at the Palms Grill.
20 person minimum.

3. The Sightseeing Train

The Sightseeing Trains are the original and premiere franchised sightseeing tour company of St. Augustine. The 1 hour long tour circuit begins at 8:30 AM and ends at 5 PM. It circles the historic downtown district and takes in almost every attractions worthwhile visiting while in St. Augustine.
20 people minimum for package deal.
 
4. The Old Town Trolley Tours

The Old Town Trolley Tours is a fantastic way to discover St. Augustine. The Trolley operates from ) 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM every day except Easter and Christmas day. Go for the ride and listen to the conductor’s story about the city and its history. The one hour tour will take you to over 100 points of interest and will make 20 stops. You can get off and re-board at any of these stops and at your leisure. The Trolley will pass the fountain of Youth, Lightner Museum, Castillo de san Marcos, Ripley’s “Believe it or Not”, Flagler college, St. George Street, St. Augustine Oldest House, the Old Jail and much more.
 Group of 20 person or more will get 1 hour private Trolley tour.
